Amerivespa 2017 in Seattle will be here before you know it. The 25th annual gathering of scooter folk will end with something new: an auction.

Neale and Sons Auctioneers has posted an online catalog of the items being offered. There are 196 items up for bid; not just scooters, but posters, signs and other memorabilia will be crossing the block.

You can view the catalog here. You’ll need to register if you want to bid, and you can do that by clicking on any lot on a page. Live bidding commences July 9 at 1:00 pm (I’m assuming that’s Pacific time), though you can leave a bid now if you wish.

The scooters offered run the gamut from projects to a brand-new 2003 Vespa ET2. There are not only Vespas, but Lambrettas and other brands, modern and vintage.

This is surely one of the biggest scooter auctions in recent memory. In earlier posts, I’ve talked about increasing interest among collectors in scooters and motorcycles. You may recall the Lambretta TV 175 that went for $22,000 a couple of years ago. Nothing in the catalog seems likely to fetch a price that high, but who knows?

I will be watching closely.
