There have been eight Hamster Runs. Wow. The latest iteration saw sunshine and perfect temperatures for riding, and for socializing.

Bellingham’s Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen once again hosted Friday’s meet & greet.

The food at Chuckanut is good, and so are their microbrews. And so was the company.

Socializing

Before the sun got too low in the sky, the group left on a short ride around town.

Heading out

Of course, Saturday was the big ride day. A long morning ride ended in downtown Bellingham for lunch, and it was followed by a longer ride that ended at Jeff and Mary’s private park.

Arriving at Jeff and Mary's

Jeff and Mary offer camping to those who want to, and put on a delicious BBQ on Saturday evening. It’s one of the highlights of the weekend.

Dinner!

Nom nom nom nom…

I didn’t go on the rides, but the GTS did.

The GTS

Shortly after he bought it from me, Auston had a bit of an, um, incident. The damage was surprisingly minor, and mostly cosmetic.

As expensive as the inside legshield bits are, Auston decided stitching it all together would be enough for now.

Of course there was a raffle, with many great prize packages to be won. Andrew (Danger is NOT my middle name) was pretty stoked with his prize.

The eating, drinking and socializing around a bonfire continued into the wee hours. Sunday morning saw a yummy breakfast served up by Jeff and Mary, followed by one last ride for those headed south. Others packed up and headed for points north and east.

The weather was wonderful all weekend, which made not having something to ride all the more depressing. Maybe next year. Favicon

There are lots more pix from Friday right here. More pix from Saturday can be found here.

Looks like a fun weekend, even if you didn’t get to ride!

Not getting to ride was frustrating I’m sure!

It sure looked like a nice group of people and a fun time!

I went to our local group’s scooter rally in my car this year. Wished I could have taken my scooter, but it didn’t work out. Nevertheless, scooter folk are just about the friendliest people around, and they appear to be out your way too!

I’ve been trying to get Jeff, of the Bellingham United Football team (http://www.bellinghamunited.com/) to do a scooter night. Maybe he’ll sponsor the rally one day. 🙂
