Delta scootin’

While most of the U.S. is roasting, the Pacific Northwest is merely experiencing normal summer weather… for more than a few hours at a time! Which, among other things meant ideal weather for the fifth edition of Deltascoot, in Delta, B.C. Ali took a break from exploring thrift stores to ride up with a group of ‘Hamsters, and more of her pix follow the jump.

Labo(u)r Day in Vancouver’s city limits usually finds scooters all over the place, but in early July the scooters are in the burbs for Fully Tanked SC’s Deltascoot.

Scooters, parked

There were as many as 30 bikes and riders participating in the rides and activities, which included bowling on Friday night and a ride out into sticks on Saturday.

Slow race

And the usual scooter-rally shenanigans, of course. Happily, this year Jimmy didn’t break his collar bone.

Jason and Ali

Ali said she had a great time. So did everyone else. Even Jason. Really, he did.

Peace Arch

While Jason and Dan the Sailor Man stayed over for Sunday, most of the Bellingham group headed home in the evening. That’s one nice thing about this part of the world—in the summer it stays light until 10:00 pm. Favicon
