Vespas as furniture

Photos by Rudy Cortez

Scooters of Bellingham member Rudy Cortez recently visited his son, who works for Universal Studios Orlando. Not only did he get to see the Harry Potter thing that’s been advertised to death on TV, he got a look at the courtyard of the the resort’s Portofino Hotel.

Yes, these are actual vintage Vespas.

Not in running condition, however.

And I’m going to guess, not worth trying to unbolt from the sidewalk either. Favicon

    They look sad…

    We should nip over there and unbolt them all. Then we steal a few Buddy motors and voila! we have our own faux vintage vespas like those what are they called $2800 machines? Voila.

    Dear Orin:

    I don’t get it. These scooters are just out there for decorations?

    @conchscooter:

    Agree! They are begging to be rescued!

    If these things turn up missing, I will assume no responsibility! 😉

    Yes, Jack. The scoots are just there for decoration. The hotel theme is a small Italian seaport hence the Italian scoots on the pavement. I never saw anyone sit on one but they ceratinly would have made a good photo-op with the villa background.
