I must admit, I’m getting along just fine without a car. It helps that Portland is built on a scooter-friendly scale. The weather has been nice, too. Still, I’d like to have the option of four wheels on occasion.
So I was (mentally, anyway) jumping up and down when I passed by the Bite of Oregon on Saturday and saw not one, not two, but three 2011 Ford Fiestas parked nose-to-tail in the blocked-off right lane of Naito Parkway. Ford has been showing the new Fiesta at events all over the country, and offering test drives.
As you can see, there are hot bagels NOW! (Orin O’Neill photo)

The temperature eventually hit 103 (Orin O’Neill photo)
The Harley pulls up to the curb, its rider properly leather-clad and tattooed. He walks into the coffee shop, and up to the counter. He orders an iced latte. Decaf. Hey, this is Seattle.
No, the GTS is still at Big People. However, I couldn’t let this pass, knowing how much you all love news about the Genuine Stella. Bryan at 2strokebuzz not only got to see the prototype Stella 4T before it got shipped off to California for CARB testing, he got to ride it.
Yeah, the GTS’ maintenance schedule has slipped a bit. But the 3,000-mile service happened at about 3,700, so I figure you should be able to get a full 3,000 miles between service visits.

Stubbie has created a YouTube video channel with more clips from this ride (and more video to come); you can find a link to it in the blogroll under “Multimedia” which was formerly known as “Podcasts.”
