Scooter parking

I hope your scooter hasn’t received a parking ticket recently. It would make the picture even more difficult to contemplate.

Scooter friend Chef James has been on an extended trip to Spain, and he snapped the picture above in San Sebastian.

Most of us would be thrilled to find just one of those Moto lanes where we live, but geez, how many are there?

Keep in mind, Spaniards have always been mad for things 2-wheeled. Motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, whatever. The MotoGP round always outdraws the Spanish Grand Prix, and roadside crowds for the Vuelta a España often make Tour de France spectators look like pikers.

While the news has been reporting Spain’s economy as being on the verge of collapse, James says the lights are on, the streets are clean, and police are numerous and visible. And tourists are welcomed with open arms and niceties like a bite to eat when you order a drink in a bar. Their euros are still good. Favicon

Europe seems to treat two-wheelers much better that this side of the pond! Glad to hear Spain is open for business.
